It Shall come to pass

Praise the Lord!! I was reading Deuteronomy 28, you know about the blessing of obedience and the curse of disobedience. I had the unction to look up the word “shall”. Now, the¬†new age ¬†dictionary and internet are ok most of the time but I feel like they don’t give as must clarity as the dictionaries they used to have back before my generation was thought of. So some time ago I literally asked God for an old dictionary that had more clarity, detail, and¬†that didn’t omit¬†things like¬†Christianity and so on. So of course the Lord being faithful granted me a¬†great dictionary that was just¬†¬†that I asked. Oh yeah!! can you say excited. I know¬†it’s just a dictionary lol¬†but I am entitle to be excited¬†due to my¬†out of the ordinary personality¬†ūüôā¬† Moving on lol¬†this chapter kept say it shall this or that. I did not realize how powerful this word is. It’s mandatory, its a commandment. God spoke into existent results if we “hearken diligently”. That’s why we are always going to be victorious because God pronounced blessing over us based on our obedience to him before we set foot on this earth. That’s why we can always rejoice, victory is promised before the fight! When God say shall there is not an if but it an assurance that it has to be what God says because he is the author, creator and the ¬†finisher. Just like when he spoke the earth into existence . I’m ¬†so grateful God keeps his promises. If it comes out of his mouth its sealed because he cant lie. He wont go back on his words because if he says it he is sure when he says it. He does not make mistakes or have a hasty tongue¬†¬†like us saying things we may not mean but God says what he means.

Shall: Will have to: must. Used to express a command or exhortation. Used in laws, regulations, or directives to express what is mandatory. Used to express what is inevitable…¬†¬†¬†(Webster’s seventh new collegiate dictionary)

Prayers dont expire

The Holy Spirit reminded me of something and I felt the need to share. Prayers don’t have an expiration date. My husband and I have released a few petitions to the Lord and it hit me smack in the face when they were granted!! I have to give God glory and share how thankful I am that he is faithful. Let me give you a potion of my testimony.

About a couple of years ago give or take, our Pastor had a word from the Lord to write some of the things we wanted done in our lives. He had us write them down, trust God for it,¬†we anointed our petitions and prayed over them. And we were to continue to pray until they came to past. Time pasted and to be honest I intended on sticking to my request¬† but sometime I would forget or leave some things out (I thank God for knowing my heart). There would even be times where I felt like “Lord when is it going to happen”. This is where faith, patience and longsuffering would have surfaced had I possessed those fruit at the time. You how you think you have bearing what the Lord commanded but I will tell you there is nothing like a good old fashioned test or trial to be a mirror to what needs to be worked on. ¬†This part of my life really humbled me I thought I ¬†was going¬†without so much.¬†Lots of material things stripped away¬†like my¬†job, house, furniture, car,¬†Etc. Oh and I thought I was humble before lol. I didn’t worry at first because I just knew how God would instantly replace what ever I lost, right? I thought to myself I am now of royal priesthood, baptized in water and with the Holy Spirit, I not entitle to suffer like that because of God’s¬†Deuteronomy 28 promise, right?

Months started to past and in the natural I could not see the results and it weighed on me heavily. I wasted a lot of time sleeping because my flesh wanted me to agree with my situation. I had turned in a  sluggard och!  Proverbs 6:6-11  Proverbs 13;4  The soul of the sluggard desireth, and [hath] nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat.

I was diligent at first but my heart was tried in it I was shown arrogance, pride, mixed with all around lack of maturity. where was my faith, the prayer life I used to have. As more trials came to remove those issues slowly stopped communicating with God.¬†Big Mistake or should I say foolish.¬†I thought God wasn’t listening Mistake number 2 listening to the enemy. I let my emotion rule me mistake, mistake, mistake.¬†Gloomy even to write about.¬†Thank God that he won’t¬†allow things go to the point of no return.¬†God started tugging at my heart¬†build on the relationship I had with him. I must decrease so he can increase. I had to get out of my own way. God allowed those things that were causing a hindrance on our relationship to be moved out of the way so I can continue to stand and not be choked by the cares of the world. oh by the way that was one of the many things that I had on my list of request, for the Lord to move anything that way in the way of our relationship. To help me grow spiritually, and mature.¬†We asked to move to Memphis (here¬†we are),¬†we asked for a specific Job and salary (we have them) and so forth.

Prayers don’t expire. God is faithful. His promises always come to pass.¬†It could be a person that prayed for you in the past for protection, healing, salvation or what ever and it came to.

Wanted to leave off with one of my favorite scripture ( God gave me this during this trial period)  Herbrews 12:11 Now no Chastening for the present time seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yield the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby. Hope this was encouraging Be blessed:)
